Obtaining an Oleh Visa After Purchasing Property in Israel

We recently purchased an apartment in Israel on [DATE] and are planning to make Aliyah and relocate to Israel in the future.

We understand that, for purposes of the Oleh Hadash purchase tax benefit, we may be required to obtain one of the following documents within one year of the purchase date:
 

•  An Oleh Visa under Section 2 of the Law of Return, 1950;

•  An Oleh Certificate under Section 3 of the Law of Return, 1950;

•  An A/1 Temporary Resident Visa ("Potential Oleh") under Regulation 6(a) of the Entry into Israel Regulations, 1974.
   

We would appreciate your guidance regarding the appropriate process and any steps we should take in order to obtain the relevant document.

If additional forms, supporting documents, or information are required, please let us know and we will be happy to provide them.
